We are looking for Full time Senior Software Engineers seeking to take part in revolutionizing the consumer experience using advanced biometrics technologies. You will be an integral part of the PopID development team helping drive customer integrations, introducing new payment gateways and deploying best-in-class biometric solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of Java, AWS, Linux and a desire to research, learn, test and implement new emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
- Architect, design and build Back End APIs used by partners to integrate our biometric payments platform into retail stores.
- Integrate additional payment gateways and payment processors within our PopID platform.
- Test, analyze and integrate new biometric face and palm recognition technologies.
- Make decisions and drive infrastructure developments to help scale our business across the United States and Middle East.
- Mentor new engineers and lead the development of new teams.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a Software Engineer role
- Experience building Back End services in one of the following: Java, Scala or Kotlin
- Strong experience with service-oriented architecture, writing REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
- Strong experience with Relational/NoSQL databases and Kafka
- Experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong working knowledge and proven experience with Linux-based operating systems, TCP/IP networks, CI/CD pipeline, Scripting languages
- Ability to communicate to technical teams as well as non-technical resources
Preferred Skills
- Full stack application development experience
- Experience with Play web framework
- Experience in the payments industry
- Understanding of OWASP Top?10
Benefits
The starting base pay range for this position is $160K - $200K annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on the candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, PopID offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, stock options, unlimited PTO, and a fully paid health care benefits package (medical, dental, vision plans).
