Service Asset and Configuration Manager - Insurance - The City, London

My client, an insurance organisation, based in The City of London, has a requirement for a permanent Service Asset and Configuration Manager to join their IT Service Management function.

This is an amazing opportunity to put your stamp on a new CMDB, and to set up a CMDB from scratch, to design and build it as well as configure and implement a new ITSM.

You must have experience of setting up a CMDB in a greenfield environment.

Experience required

• Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, particularly SACM methodology.
• Possesses an as a minimum an ITIL Foundation certificate and clear understanding of the Service Value Chain.
• Extensive experience in IT configuration management or a related discipline.
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycle.
• Experience with reporting, utilising the Microsoft Office product suite and ITSM tooling.
• Proficiency in CMDB tools and IT asset management software.
• Understanding of the management of risk and impact in an operational setting.
• Demonstrable experience of management of third-party suppliers.

The role is hybrid working with 1-2 days required in the office in London.
