Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior DesignOps Specialist to join our fast-growing core DesignOps team to support them in building outstanding user experiences.
We're seeking a results-oriented individual who can ensure designers have the right tools and processes to create awesome experiences whilst keeping a handle on budget, timelines and capacity.
You'll play an integral role in shaping the design operations and processes as well as collaborating on meaningful challenges.
Therefore, the position is tailored to a self-motivated individual, who excels in a fast-paced environments and is dedicated to promoting operational excellence in design.
What you will do:
Ensuring Timely Project Delivery
You are accountable for managing project timelines to ensure the timely completion of Design Ops projects, in line with our standards and processes.
Facilitating Cross-Functional Collaboration
You are responsible for collaborating with talent acquisition, designers, ops leads, design leads, and PMOs to clearly define project needs and requirements.
Coordinating with External Entities
You will coordinate with vendors, contractors, and candidates to plan and support hiring and recruitment events, ensuring alignment with our operational goals.
Managing Resource Allocation
You are tasked with supporting the Design Ops team in the effective management of resource allocation data and workload management.
Maintaining Data Integrity
You will develop and maintain accurate data across various internal talent systems, including documentation, briefs, timelines, and budgets.
Optimizing Operational Processes
You are accountable for continuously improving operational processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Contributing to Design Capability
You will contribute to the development of playbooks for growing design ops capability.
Coordinating Team Logistics
You will support the coordination of equipment and logistics for the team, including travel planning.
What you will have:
Minimum 5 Years of Relevant Experience
A solid background in design operations, gained from working in complex business environments and meeting critical project deadlines.
Proactive Work Ethic
An autonomous and structured approach to work, with a strong advocacy for user-centered design principles.
Methodological Knowledge
Familiarity with agile, Lean UX, or product methodologies, and a history of proactive collaboration in a team-oriented environment.
Design Team Support
Experience in supporting a design team in a project management capacity, demonstrating initiative and independent problem-solving skills.
Communication Excellence
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, vital for articulating design concepts and collaborating effectively with team members.
