SQL Data Analyst (Permanent)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Country: UK Rate: £40k - £44k per annum
 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Data Analyst to join an innovative public sector organisation in the North East. In this role, you will contribute to the creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data solutions. This involves transferring data between systems and offering best practice recommendations to the Software Development Team and other departments.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide end to end support in the design, development and the implementation of data solutions to meet project reporting needs, including training and supporting analysts and report developers, and creating handover documentation.
  • Manage activities related to the data needs of IT projects, including gathering requirements, data cleaning, data migration, analysis, and reporting.
  • Working with the Principle Data Architect to deliver data-specific projects and data components of IT projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify requirements relating to data analysis and reporting that links to business changes, ensuring the necessary data is provided.
  • Lead efforts in logging, monitoring, and identifying data assets essential for the project's service delivery.
  • Assist in the acquisition, gathering, and management of complex data sets.
  • Provide colleagues with advice and guidance on data literacy and data management.

Who you will be:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • You will have proven experience and knowledge of SQL Development, database design and T-SQL.
  • You will also have a strong working knowledge of a rational database engine such as MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in migrating data between a variety of different applications.
  • Experience with database design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
