Job Role

An online retail client of Michael Page are looking for a Data Analyst to join us in Birmingham to help us understand our customers behaviour, business performance and opportunities for revenue growth. We'll look to you to take complex data related to our mail and digital sales and transform it into clear and actionable insights that help to advise the clients decision-making.

Description

Responsibilities

Scope, document, develop KPIs, Metrics, and reporting dashboards using MS Power BI & SSRS
Scope, document, and develop reports from scratch using SQL/SSRS, Excel, Power BI
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enable detailed requirements of reporting needs
Provide additional insights and findings to stakeholders
Configure existing and new SQL environments for optimal performance
Maintain the Data Warehouse ensuring its fit for current and future analytics
Develop and maintain data feeds into the data warehouse
Plan and implement database structural requirements
Maintain database performance
Continued SQL and Reporting Services security monitoring
Any duties defined by director
Provide general IT Support as and when required

Profile

Technical Competencies

Proven experience with Power BI/DAX/SQL/SSRS/SSIS
Good experience with data warehouse design, including dimensional modelling and data mining.
Advantageous demonstration of machine learning
Excellent investigation and planning skills
Good communicator
Excellent presentation skills
Team player

Job Offer

• 6 month contract
• Birmingham based (Candidates are required to be onsite 4/5 days a week)
• £200 per day (outside IR35)
