Software Engineer - Platform Engineering - London

They are looking for an experienced technologist with knowledge of working with software engineering (C#) and working with Windows based systems.

Your Role:
You will be working with this global company in their Platform Engineering team. You will be working as a hands-on, technologist on a cross-platform engineering team that's responsible for core technology infrastructure. This will require you to be proficient in Windows software development and systems administration.
This team is pivotal to the smooth running of this companies core infrastructure. This will be designing and maintaining the companies operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization and network services
Office & WFH Policy:
The company offer a hybrid model. This is going to be working three days per week in their London office.
Requirements:
A degree in a STEM subject, but ideally Computer Science. Comparable work experience, would also be excepted.
Experience of working in a high-paced, financial services environment.
Extensive experience of working with windows software development and systems automation experience.
Experience with C# & Powershell are essential, Python and other OOP languages would be beneficial (Rust, Golang, Java)
An in-depth understanding of the Windows platform and associated technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with common Windows Server applications, virtualisation and management tools.
A working knowledge of networking, Linux, and infosec concepts is required.
Experience on across on-premises and cloud-based environments.
Experience of working with containers on Windows and Linux is preferred, paired with f amiliarity with a variety of tracing tools.
