BMC Discovery Associate (Contract)

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a BMC Discovery Associate for a 4 Months contract based in London (Hybrid).

Purpose of the Role:

As BMC Discovery Associate, the core activities will be to provide efficient and effective management of the iterative review, analysis and customised onboarding process for business software discovery and to ensure the development resource can fully focus on the technical development, testing and validation of custom-discovered software products.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a BMC Discovery Associate you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to the data obsolescence project activities, coordinate with the Obsolescence tech lead and report project updates to the Discovery & Tracking team manager and the Obsolescence project manager.
  • Within the defined scope of the Obsolescence project manager, you will focus on business & bespoke software discovery.
  • Work with the internal Discovery & Tracking team to understand the development, testing and release process and tools.
  • Collaborate with development resource for change planning and scheduleding of validated new software products. Raise and manage change requests.
  • Perform ongoing data analysis to check/validate data performance of newly released data solutions.
  • Provide weekly and monthly KPI reporting to project team.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Good understanding of BMC Discovery (formerly ADDM) and/or other automated discovery applications.
  • Strong understanding of BMC's knowledge base (TKU) solutions for hardware, OS and software obsolescence.
  • Report writing using BMC Discovery query language.
  • Strong process management. Evolve and improve iterative processes for effective project delivery
  • Good project management experience.
  • Understanding of the criticality of good obsolescence data.
