Java Developer FX Forwards Pricing & Execution (Contract)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: Up to £900 per day
 

Global Investment Bank seeks an experienced Java developer to work in the FX forward pricing team. The developer will be working on a platform that is highly visible across the organisation due to its revenue generation potential. This role offers a mix of greenfield development combined with BAU tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex, real-time, Java based pricing application within a front office banking environment.
- Develop interfaces to a web based Front End application.
- Implement best development practices and write automated integration tests.
- Address and resolve build and deployment issues, ensuring seamless integration within the CI/CD pipeline.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven expertise on Java front office pricing or execution trading system in front office
environment. FX Forwards knowledge desirable.
- Experience in performance optimisation - include performance/load testing framework.
- Deep understanding of Maven/Gradle build and deploy process, testing, and CI/CD practices
- Strong problem-solving skills, Single Thread and Multi-Threading and Concurrency skills.
- Basic grasp of web-based ui technologies like Javascript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SaSS
