M&E Programme Assurance Manager-Heritage Buildings-Construction-London (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: 800-900 pd Inside
 

An M&E Programme Assurance Manager, Mechanical and Engineering,Construction, Heritage buildings, is required to work for our high-profile client based in central London. (hybrid working)

Hybrid working - Paying c.£800-£900 per day (in scope of IR35) for an initial 6 months


To work within a Programme and Assurance team, the role is accountable for the overall check, challenge and performance of a high profile programme, by the provision of regular activities to assure delivery against the clients mandate, including assuring; compliance against the delivery agreement, financial and delivery performance, etc.

You will be an experienced Programme Manager with experience of the following:

Experienced in programme management with particular experience of Heritage buildings and/or a complex environment involving Mechanical and Engineering.

A good background and experience in the construction field with electronic and mechanical systems, construction programmes experience.

Experience of providing independent, objective and informed analysis, judgement, advice, recommendations on proposals, with an ability to challenge and influence at senior and board level.

A high level of numeracy and familiarity with programme finance

Proven experience in preparing papers, reports and recommendations in a major programme or portfolio environment.

Experienced in influencing at a senior level, including successfully facilitating joint decision-making and building linkages between stakeholders

Responsibilities:

To review and challenge proposals and conduct independent reviews as necessary (or as directed by the Programme and Assurance Director)

To provide summary reports of reviews with clear recommendations for action to address any perceived risks or challenges.

Ensuring that recommendations from assurance activities are understood by those implementing them and that progress against the implementation of recommendations is appropriately monitored and communicated.

Undertaking expert analysis and interpretation across all assurance activities to produce insightful commentary and recommendations on the delivery of the programme.

Reporting on assurance to various forums including the client Board
