As one of the premier suppliers to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with experience working with Azure DevOps to work in a small and highly experienced business facing team on a contract basis starting ASAP. This is a 9 month contract running with chance to extend, sometimes up to five years. Joining a team responsible for enhancing and maintaining trading applications and platforms. The DevOps engineer will support and implement their automation roles. This role will support with existing processes, as well as preparing new ones and the preparation of the migration from Azure DevOps to Github.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
Maintain existing YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps Develop new pipelines based on automation needs Convert existing classic pipelines into YAML Prepare for and implement migration to GitHub Facilitate gathering of automation requirements from Trading Applications team Interacts with the other IT groups in the organisation for systems design, integration, standards and change management.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer (5+ years experience) At least three years of Full time industry hands-on experience writing automation scripts with Azure DevOps, GitHub. Good skills in Powershell Scripting. Solid understanding of the software development life cycle. Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines. Good understanding of version control systems, specifically Git. Good knowledge of Windows server administration Fluency in English

The following is nice to have:
Experience with Maven and .NET build processes would be a big advantage Experience with the secure software development life cycle is a plus Skills in C#/Java programming and T-SQL/Oracle SQL would be a big plus

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland.
