Essential Functions:

The System Administrator position requires an engineering-focused technical professional who will provide high level technical support and guidance to customers. This position requires someone who can collaborate with the account team to recommend, architect, and implement appropriate customer solution offerings. The ideal candidate is an experienced systems administrator looking to build out their career to the next level, and share their expertise with their co-workers and our customers!


  • Define customer business problems in a technical context

  • Define solution options and articulate the benefits of a given solution

  • Understand competitor offerings and provide input to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation.

  • Handle post-sales escalation and resolve issues, by coordinating and working with stakeholders.

    Skills and Qualifications:


  • Foundational knowledge and experience in:

  • Servers

  • Storage solutions

  • Converged/Hyper-converged solutions

  • Operating Systems

  • Virtualization products and solutions

  • Backup solutions such as EMC, NetApp, Pure, 3PAR

  • Experience with IT Security

  • Experience with Scripting and programming

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Advanced knowledge of office productivity solutions (MS Office, Exchange)

  • Intermediate knowledge in Routing & Switching

  • Product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required. (Enterprise Storage, Data Center network, Enterprise server virtualization, and/or Enterprise Data Protection solutions)

  • Understand industry trends, including new products and solutions

  • Understand competitive product and solutions landscape

  • Excellent technical consulting skills, including ability to define trade-offs, ask probing questions, and incorporate technology solutions into a broader enterprise environment

  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills


  • Strong understanding or familiarity of other Enterprise storage, other blade server platforms, other network product families, other virtualization hypervisors, or other data protection technologies

  • Ability to do performance analysis and tuning of a storage, virtual server, and/or datacenter network environment

  • Knowledge and experience with public/private cloud technologies

  • Knowledge and experience with VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft virtualization platforms

  • Experience with data protection products such as Veeam, Avamar, Data Domain, Rubrik, and Cohesity

  • Experience or familiarity with DevOps principles and practices is a plus.

  • Experience or familiarity with converged and hyper-converged technologies like Cisco Hyperflex, EMCVxRack/VxRail, Nutanix and Symplivity

    Preferred Experience:

    4+ years


    This is a Full time position located in Sherman Oaks, CA. Travel may be required for training or other work-related duties (25% or less)

    Physical Demands:

  • Occasional standing/walking
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
