Job Summary

The Operations Director has a leading and supporting role regarding technical topics and solutions delivery within a network services organization. The job role is used for Wireline, Wireless and Transmission, Network deployment and can be adapted and used for managing all implementation services eg Network Design, Site Acquisition, Civil Works, Installation, Integration services etc. It is responsible for management of activities and personnel from Ericsson in accordance to Ericsson requirements and customer contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop regional delivery strategy/processes to support Ericsson SPS (self-performing services) for Network Rollout/Site Development projects
  • Maintain KPI s/Quality on existing SPS teams and present to Ericsson SPS leadership as well as regional deployment organizations
  • Handle escalations from customer s, Key Account Manager (KAM), Project management and market deployment teams
  • Review installation/test Methods of Procedures and ensure teams are delivering within the guidelines and with quality
  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) accountable for delivery tools utilization and data accuracy for all tools use by the SPS organization
  • Work with Sales teams to develop costing information for proposals/TPR s as required
  • Develop overall self-performing strategy for regional delivery across all Customers
  • Support issuing PO's for site materials, cranes and consumables
  • Work with market deployment teams on SPS capacity requirements execution and execution strategy
  • Day-2Day management of SDM's (service delivery managers) within a region for SPS delivery
  • Deliver SPS services within predetermined Time, Cost and Quality metrics across multiple project and Customers within assigned work area
  • Provide assistance to KAM and BD team on new business opportunities for services delivered by SPS including NRO, EF&I, In-Building, Outdoor Small Cell and Fiber deployments

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Network Rollout/Site Development practices including: Site Acquisition/A&E/Leasing, Zoning, Civils/Construction, Contract Negotiations, etc.
  • Ability to drive cost efficiencies and deliver internal Ericsson project services while meeting 3 core objectives, Time, Cost and Quality
  • Have broad understanding of Ericsson systems, tools and processes
  • Leadership and conflict resolution skills

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technical related fields
  • 10 years' experience in RAN Network/Site build operations
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably from the area of Service Delivery and/or Operations
  • Contract Terms and Condition structuring, definition, and negotiation
  • Accountability of multi-disciplined teams with direct and indirect reporting structure
  • Background in delivery towards customers such as Project Management deliveries, Managed Services deliveries, or Customer Support activities.
  • Project Management experience in delivery of telecommunication services
  • High degree of planning, organization, and executing skills
