Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Participates in all COTS/ERP software development phases (requirements, analysis, design, develop, test) to support the software implementation of COTS/ERP solutions such as Oracle, SAP or Peoplesoft or other business systems. Adhering to the agreed upon software development methodology, the Business Solutions Engineer will collaborate with the Database Engineer and Enterprise Engineer to improve a client s business process through the use of data integration and process improvement by leveraging the product s standard software configuration and developing custom enhancements when necessary. Working within the software development framework, the Business Solutions Engineer will work closely with the client to provide guidance, functional and technical experience and will incorporate knowledge of a client s processes, to deliver scalable design specifications that will satisfy a client s business requirement. With the use of proven development standards and enterprise approved engineering methodologies, the Business Solutions Engineer develops the documented design and will test the solution to ensure software changes do not negatively impact the existing software environment. Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s). PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. FREEDOM TO ACT: Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. IMPACT: Guides the succesful completion of major programs. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives. LIASON: Represents organization as prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline is required. Eight (8) years of relevant experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of relevant experience. A doctoral or Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of relevant experience. Six (6) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, when combined with a certification equivalent to PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, MCSE, MCSD, CPCM, or CPSM.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate will have a good working knowledge of Oracle Financial applications. The candidate must have a good working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Financials R12. Any experience with OIM, OID, Middle Tier Administration and DBA will be given extra consideration. If you don't have technical experience with Oracle Financials R12 you will not be considered for these positions. At least twelve years of demonstrated experience is required in information systems development, functional and data requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, programming, program design and documentation preparation. Managerial and leadership skills must be proven as well as exceptional written and oral communications skills demonstrated (ie, including providing formal presentations to diverse audiences).
