Job Description

Do you have a passion for technology? Are you seeking a role to break into the world of IT? We are searching for our next Help Desk Analyst to bring onboard.

This is a client focused position that will have a direct impact on client satisfaction, responding to and troubleshooting client technical issues via phone, email, remote access and onsite. This position will resolve business issues directly related to IT. You will have the opportunity to train and shadow with senior-level technical professionals. This role has the ability to grow into higher level positions within Nexus.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, upgrades and troubleshoots client networks, workstations, servers, and environments.
  • Use of company resources to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for:
    • Desktop computers, laptops, tablets
    • Printers and scanners
    • Networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls and Wi-Fi
    • Cable management
    • Server virtualization
  • Maintenance of client environments
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of technical projects.
  • Assist clients using remote PC and server support.
  • Documentation of problem resolution with company ticketing system.
  • Documentation of client environment following company requirements.
  • Use and understand issue escalation process.
  • Represents Nexus Technology Group in a professional manner to organizations and the community at-large.
  • Maintains confidentiality and protects trade secrets as required by HIPAA, client and Nexus policy requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in IT is preferred, which internships would include.
  • Possess, work experience or knowledge of servers, networking and desktop troubleshooting. Previous Help Desk experience preferred.
  • Display the ability, based upon previous experience, to develop, implement, and manage innovative problem-solving techniques.
  • Exhibit proven ability to be a contributing member of a team.
  • Display the required interpersonal skills by building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to express thoughts and ideas to others both orally and in writing. Ability to actively listen to others.
  • Possess and have demonstrated proven skills in troubleshooting various antivirus, backup, monitoring, and ticketing software packages, applications and platforms.
  • Demonstrates an attitude of excellent service, ability to identify customer needs, use of professional body language and words, uncompromising service contact and willingness to resolve conflict. Is attentive to the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Works to promote company Vision, Mission and Core Values and work processes that result in excellent customer service. Helps to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cohesiveness. Contributes towards the achievement of organizational goals.
