Role Summary/Purpose:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for defined work or projects for the Austin campus and manufacturing plant. In this role, you will use your technical engineering abilities to meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate production supporting action or longer-term planning. You will serve as cross-department liaison with engineering, product development, field service, help desk, quality, and others.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, you will:

· Develop manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), documenting process changes, driving process/fixture improvements, driving lead and cycle time improvements, cost of quality (COQ), and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) actions

· Define investment and expense needs, driving from preparing for approvals to completion

· Develop LEAN/CI initiatives, and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements both individually and as part of a team

· Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control and EHS compliance

· Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process

· Implement productivity actions in order to improve the process and sustaining the current processes

· Process ECOs: analysis, approval, implementation, and communication of engineering change orders and parts releases

· Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering, quality and other teams to complete projects to meet EHS, production, quality, cost savings, and new product development goals within schedule and budget

· Interface with vendors and internal contacts in an effective manner to ensure that the technical and EHS perspective is properly conveyed

· Drive improvements in ISO processes: partner with team captains for ISO process-writing & maintenance, assist with regular internal audits, develop standard work

· Develop knowledge of Payment Card Industry security processes, assist with compliance with PCI regulations, and interface with the PCI Administrator

· Respond to immediate requests for production support to resolve issues


· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

· Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing/industrial experience
