Why is our Alternative Payments Platform team the next step for you?


In this role, you'll take ownership of automation testing for one of our core payment platforms. You'll work with other software testers to design, maintain and execute automated testing of API and Web Service test data and web products on our Alternative Payments platform. You'll ensure consistent and sufficient coverage of test areas of the platform utilising regression and backward compatibility test approaches. You'll ensure efficient and effective testing using appropriate strategies and techniques whilst working as part of an Agile software development team.

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

You'll design and plan test strategies for projects and applications and create multiple solutions for the test automation framework. You'll manage and configure designated test environments and automation tools, design and write test scripts on the test automation framework, as well as investigate problems in software as a result of automation test execution.

Part of the role is to identify issues and risks relating to workload, escalate these appropriately and provide suggested mitigating actions. You'll review test conditions, test scripts, user stories, input test data and expected results for all test phases. You'll execute tests thoroughly to ensure software quality including running automated tests identify faults and defects, and you'll actively contribute to daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You'll have extensive experience as an automation tester using C# and selenium. You'll have strong knowledge of software testing procedures, test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testing. You'll have an in depth understanding of Agile testing methods - Behavioural Driven Development and Test Driven Development, as well as process improvement experience. Experience with the following tools is ideal as well as experience mentoring other software testers; TDD techniques with specflow, Visual Studio, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, SQL, SoapUI.
