My client an Energy Trading Company based in Canary Wharf requires a Business Continuity Contractor.

Role synopsis

Review and update the ongoing management of 20CS Business Continuity (BC) planning arrangements considering adoption of best practice identified from other IST major office locations and multi-entity sites.

Key accountabilities

Reporting to the Regional HSSE Manager and supporting the Regional Crisis and Continuity manager (C&CM) the role will undertake a review of the current 20CS (20 Canada Square office) BC arrangements and benchmark these against good practice identified at other sites, IST major office locations, other multi-entity sites and against the company requirements.

Recommendations will be made for the ongoing management of business continuity within 20CS; this include development and delivery of appropriate training for key 20CS personnel and a self-verification exercise.

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Detailed understanding of industry recognised Business Continuity and Crisis Management standards/guidance, in particular those for a large office environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and diversity skills.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Interpretation of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Bench marking and identification of best practice.
  • Good presentation, communication and report writing skills.
  • Liaison across multiple business and office locations.
  • Communications, reporting, design and implementation of project recommendations.
  • Training of key personnel identified in the recommendations.
  • Evaluation and exercising of new BC arrangements

Desirable criteria & qualifications

  • Knowledge of current cyber BC security best practice would also be desirable.
  • Industry recognised BC qualification/certification
