MySQL Data Analyst required to work near Guildford (North).

This is a Hybrid position working 2/3 days from home, obviously you will need to come into the office more than not during your induction/starting days with my client.

Job responsibilities:

  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Improve data quality across educational and business systems
  • Prepare reports and present these to management or clients
  • Identify and recommend new ways to save time and money by streamlining business processes

Skills required:

  • 3/5 years + Proven strong Data Analyst using MySQL/Business Objects.

  • A good working knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, R and JSON
  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organisation, infrastructure, and storage
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
  • Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting technologies
  • Knowledge and experience of webservices and Restful APIs, including oAuth
  • Experience and understanding of cloud-based data warehouses

This position comes with good benefits and would be ideal for someone who is looking for a cultural change rather than chasing the rat race/fast pace environment.
