A Global Investment Banking firm seeks several Java Software Engineers. The successful applicant will be working on the firm's FX Pricing RFQ streaming franchise and Venue connectivity utilising Java, FIX, and Tibco/Solace Messaging.

Job Responsibilities/Role:

  • Building ultra-low latency connectivity to different ECN FX venues such as 360FX, FX Connect, Bloomberg etc.
  • Utilising Java low-latency software and hardware techniques
  • Drive the development of a high-performance and scalable technology platform
  • Server Side development with Java

Key Technical and Background required:

  • Very strong core Java - including threading, sockets/networks.
  • Low Latency programming.
  • Well-versed in TCP/UDP protocols.
  • Solid understanding of OO principles.
  • Unix/Linux experience
  • Knowledge of financial messaging protocols, especially FIX.
  • Solid SDLC knowledge and use of build, testing, deploy, code analysis tools
  • KDB is useful.
  • Middleware such as Tibco RV, Solace, Aeron
  • Knowledge of FX/Rates E-Trading Venues is desirable.
  • Experience working with large financial software systems.
